Who We Are

 Linda loves training, coaching and helping others create satisfying resolutions. A Master Certified Coach (one of only 3 % of the 24,000 ICF members), Certificates in Mediation, Negotiation and Conflict Coaching, Linda puts her knowledge to work! Her three specialty areas include Dispute Resolution, Leadership and Conflict Coaching and Training/Facilitation. 

A pioneer in Conflict Coaching, Linda co-created the Associate Certificate in Conflict Coaching with the Justice Institute of BC. She created the Conflict Coaching Road Map, a tool used by coaches to ensure that clients experience the best of Conflict Coaching tools and strategies. Linda presented at the Conflict Coaching at the 2017 World Mediation Summit in Bangkok, and the BC Government’s Coaching Summit, as well as presenting at the recent Sophies Place Provincial Conference held Feb 2019. 

Linda also teaches/facilitates all things related to conflict through her own business, Linda Dobson and Associates (1996) and in association with the Justice Institute and the University of Calgary. Linda’s leadership clients range from ADM’s to front line, for and not for profit, and individuals to large group processes. She has worked with Ken Blanchard company and has been one of 13 Executive Coaches for the BC Government for over a decade. Her ability to quickly understand contextual framework and systems, leadership agility and applying a “tools not rules” approach to creating a collaborative environment is a hallmark of her work. 

In her spare time Linda volunteers in Uganda teaching Peace and Reconciliation, as well as writing her book “The Conflict Coaching Road Map: Dispute Resolution Strategies for Leaders, Helpers and Coaches”, due in 2020. She divides her time between Salt Spring Island and Vancouver BC, where she alternates between tie-dye and business attire.
